Mike and Amber Bishop met at the University of Florida and were married in 1995. They live in Jupiter Florida and have raised three young adult children. They are both committed to the idea of modern day tent making and work for their family business, RGD Consulting Engineers, where Mike is VP of engineering and Amber handles marketing and land development. They also lead the microchurch, Resurrection Church, which meets in Tequesta Florida and they have a non profit called Every Day Mission.
They have initiated and lead various ministry projects and planted multiple microchurches over the last 25 years. In Gainesville with the Vineyard Church, they formed new worship teams, started and multiplied small groups, organized servant evangelism projects, helped organize large conferences, and participated in cross-cultural mission work in the Czech Republic, Russia, Holland, and Cuba. In 2001, Mike was ordained by the Vineyard as a pastor and sent out to plant new churches.
Before Amber went back to work in the business world, she spent 18 years at home homeschooling her children all the way through high school and successfully launched them into their academic and athletic careers in higher education. She is extremely gifted at getting others excited and motivated towards God’s Kingdom. She is a champion for releasing people into their gift and calling in ministry. She is also effective at rallying others to a cause and organizing people to get a job done. Amber’s passion is contagious and she leads by example. Amber has always loved starting and cultivating new businesses. She uses that gift combination by serving as the executive director of Everyday Mission.
Mike has written extensively about leadership and the church. He currently publishes articles on Medium and is publishing a new book, The Message and the Way. Mike is passionate about launching people into their destiny and serves on the Everyday Mission board by providing strategic coaching, teaching discipleship and church planting curriculum, and contending for the renewal of the church by nurturing fully formed, mature disciples. Mike and Amber are also both counselors and carry a deeply pastoral love for people. Their understanding of prayer, kingdom ministry, and business makes them such a powerful couple. We are so thankful to have them in our corner and be running in ministry together here on the treasure coast.
